KZ: WHAT MADE YOU FIRST GET INTO DIRTBIKE RIDING?
RM: My dad was always into bikes, so I started riding when I was really young.
KZ: HOW MANY BIKES DO YOU OWN?
RM: I've kept all the bikes I've won Championships on, but my sponsors give me bikes to use during competition. I go through about eight bikes a year.
KZ: WHAT ARE THE WORST INJURIES YOU’VE EVER HAD?
RM: I broke my foot last year. That was pretty bad.
KZ: WHO WAS YOUR SUPERCROSS HERO WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP?
RM: Definitely Chad Reed. We grew up riding together and the guy is so good!
KZ: WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO COMPETE?
RM: Definitely in front of my home crowd in Wollongong!
KZ: WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A SUPERCROSS RIDER?
RM: Doing what I love for a living and having the chance to travel the world and compete.
KZ: WHAT'S THE SECRET TO SUPERCROSS SUCCESS?
RM: A lot of training both on and off the bike. I spend hours practising on the track, as well as other things like boxing, running, swimming and cycling. |
